ok so to get off the procrastination train...my friend is a member of the local fine arts association and she convinced me to go to a meeting (after much use of excuses
after being there and realising it wasn't complete politics and ego, well i took the plunge and joined.

i have since been in a panic of painting. why?
i am going to set up a painting space like i used to have (when i felt creative and give it a go, nothing like deadline to get a person moving.
anyway the next exibit i am going to attempt is called ...wait for it.....rainbows, sunshine and lollipos (ok seriously?) if nothing else it narrowed down material to use

I came up with the idea painted daisy, having the daisy in rainbow colours and strong black background lighting (combining graphic design image with oil paints is the idea)

this group is more abstract and loose painting, and it is juried, and that is the style they use. whatever.. a little politics but i need ideas and inspiration so wherever it came from does not matter.
it already feels freeing, going from a style that way so restricted and precise and i feel some of the excitement i use to get when painting for myself.

so who knows, this may be the beginning of a good thing

i will post a pic in progress to finished... who knows maybe someone out there will feel inspired.
